About Tracey Kenworthy, PhD

Dr. Kenworthy (she/her) earned her doctorate in Educational and Counseling Psychology from the University of Missouri in August 2015, with specialized training in School Psychology. She is a licensed psychologist in Pennsylvania and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP).

Dr. Kenworthy specializes in working with children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, emotional dysregulation, and neurodevelopmental differences, including autism spectrum disorder and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Her therapeutic approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practice, with a strong emphasis on helping clients process and heal from difficult emotional experiences.

A central focus of Dr. Kenworthy’s clinical work is trauma-informed therapy. She has pursued advanced training and consultation in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), which she uses to help clients safely process distressing memories, reduce emotional intensity, and build a greater sense of emotional balance and resilience. She integrates these approaches with dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills to support emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and coping.

In addition to therapy, Dr. Kenworthy conducts comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations to better understand each client’s strengths and needs and to guide individualized treatment planning. She is deeply committed to ongoing professional growth and regularly seeks advanced training and consultation to continually refine her clinical skills.

Dr. Kenworthy approaches therapy as a reflective and growth-oriented process, working collaboratively with clients and families to support meaningful and lasting change.

Dr. Kenworthy personally identifies as a Christian and is respectful of all belief systems. She has experience working with individuals who identify as Christian, Jewish, Muslim, agnostic, and atheist.
